Please use our online booking system to make an appiontment and submit the application materials to the visa center according to the appointment time.
Documents to be submitted
1. "Application Form of Consular Legalization of the Embassy/Consulate of the People's Republic of China" completed by the applicant.
(Handwritten form and printout are both acceptable. The applicant's information shall be filled in Section 1 or Section 2 and the original signatures of the applicant are required for Section 8. Any documents submitted by an agent, the agent's information shall be filled in Section 7 and the original signature of the agent is required for Section 8.
2. A. If the applicant submits the application personally, then he/she should provide his/her valid passport and a photocopy of it.
B. If the application is submitted by an agent, then the agent's valid passport, photocopies of both the agent's and applicant's passports and a letter of attorney are required.
C. When the application is submitted through a commercial agency, an authorization letter from the agency is also necessary, in addition to the requirement in B.
3. If it is an application from a company or an organization, the applicant must be a legal representative of such company or organization, such as the general manager, chair of the board or board members, whose name is on the Certificate of Registration. In such case, a photocopy of its Certificate of Registration is also required.
4. The original documents and photocopies issued by the RNMFA.
5. Other supporting documents the consular officer may request.
Important notes
1. The document for consulate legalization should be true and lawful, and doesn’t contain any content which is injurious to national interests or social public interests of China;
2. If the document submitted for consular legalization contains more than one page, it shall be properly bound as a volume by applying sealing wax, eyelets, paging seal, steel seal or other methods to avoid any substitution and ensure the integrity of documents.
3. According to the provisions of the relevant authorities of China, the certificate for no spouse or single status affidavit used for marriage registration in China remains valid for 6 months from the date of issuance. Therefore, the applicant should apply for it again if the mentioned certificate has been issued for more than 6 months from the date of issuance.
4. Notarial certificates of marriage status, health and non-criminal record, which are for the purpose of adoption in China, shall not be legalized if they have been issued for more than six months.
5. Consular officers of the Embassy in Norway will review the documents to be legalized. The Embassy will not be legalized a document if its notarization or legalization procedure is found to be incomplete, its content is against Chinese laws and regulations, its format fails to meet the standards, or it is found to be forged or altered.
6. Consular officers may request the applicant to provide additional documentation to support the application, or to have an interview at the Embassy.
7. If the content of a legalized document is forged or altered, the consular legalization shall be invalid.
8. A legalized document shall not be forged or altered. Any legal liability caused by the applicant's forgery or alteration of the document shall be borne by the applicant.
9. A document can only contain one single issue. A document that contains more than one issues or includes unrelated content should not be accepted for consular legalization.
10. Documents issued in China, such as notarized certificates, ID, driving license, marriage certificate will not be accepted for consular legalization.
